Belgian post-war constructivist. Went to the free academy L’Effort in Brussels and discovered the first abstract canvases among the painters of the Jeune Peinture Belge. He himself started working abstractly in 1950. Initially tightly geometric and from the 1960s more graphic with bright colors, optical effects and busy rhythms. He was a member of Art Abstrait, Formes and Art Construit.
