Henrik van Bottenburg had his first exhibition in Amsterdam 1948.
Studied at the Rijksacademie Amsterdam and at the Académie de la’Grande Chaumière at Paris to learn visual arts.
His paintings were included in the historic exhibition ’50 and de pientere abstract’ at Galerie Creuze (1956-57).
His most important style was Tachisme. A forceful style and strongly abstract expressionist.
