Gauthier, Oscar

Oscar Gauthier was born in 1921 in Tours in France. He studied in Paris. He took lessons from Othon Friesz and at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. From 1946 to 1947 he lived in the United States and subsequently in Mexico. Here Gauthier created countless expressionistic works. Since 1948 he produces colourful abstract paintings, and he has several exhibitions in Paris in various galleries, including an annual exhibition at the Galerie Arnaud.
