Albert Jean Gorin was born in Saint-Emilien-Blain in 1899. He attended academies in Paris and Nantes and was influenced by Cezanne, Van Gogh, Matisse and Gleizes. Gorin came in contact with Mondrian in 1927. He always produced geometric-abstract paintings and reliefs. Gorin was a friend of Joost Baljeu. His work is found in many museums and private collections. Gorin died in Niort in 1981.
