Tajiri, Shinkichi

Shinkichi Tajiri was born on December 7, 1923, in Los Angeles. He lived and worked in Chicago, Paris and Amsterdam, among other places. Tajiri also studied at the Art Institute in Chicago. He studied in Paris from 1948 with Ossip Zadkine and Fernand Leger. Tajiri made sculptures of constructions/war monsters such as Warriors. He had various exhibitions at home and abroad including at the Cobra Museum voor Moderne Kunst in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, where he currently lives.
